I'm Joan Subirats, a frontend developer and jazz musician. Originally from Barcelona, I moved to Osaka, Japan in 2024 with my wife and son.

I started playing clarinet at 6 and switched to saxophone at 15. Over the years, I've performed at jazz festivals across Europe and America, played with bands and projects, and co-led my own swing band, The Swing Cats. Jazz taught me improvisation, listening, and the art of responding to the moment.

My development journey began in 2015, building websites for fellow musicians. What started as a side project became a full career. I specialize in React, Next.js, and React Native, with recent work exploring AI integration and machine learning applications. Since 2024, I work as a frontend developer at Ingersoll Rand.
